For more than four decades, legendary animator Yuriy Norshteyn, creator of Hedgehog in the Fog and Tale of Tales, has been working on his adaptation of Nikolai Gogol’s The Overcoat. This intimate documentary enters Norshteyn’s studio to explore the painstaking creative process, passion and perfectionism behind one of animation’s most celebrated unfinished masterpieces.
